About the APA

The APA is the world’s largest amateur pool league with more than 250,000 members competing in 8-Ball and 9-Ball Leagues throughout North America (US and Canada) and now Japan. Click here for more information about the history of the APA.

 

League play takes place year round in three different sessions of play; Summer, Fall/Winter and Spring.  Men and women of all ages*, walks of life and pool shooting ability are welcomed to join in this handicapped league format for amateur weekly competition.

 

*in Oregon facilities that serve liquor the age limit is 21 - but we also offer a Junior Division for under 21 year olds.

 

Teams in each division qualify for end of session "money back" team Tri-Cup tournaments!  From there they have a chance to qualify for the Local Team Championships where they vie for the chance to go to Vegas for the Nationals each year!
